Professional Conduct Policy
Verification opens the door; conduct keeps it open. These are the standards expected of every verified professional on ImmLink.
1. Regulatory responsibility
Every member remains independently responsible for their own licensing, registration, professional indemnity and regulatory obligations in each jurisdiction where they practise. ImmLink does not supervise professional practice and does not provide legal or immigration advice.
2. Scope of practice
Members must only accept work they are licensed and competent to perform, and must refer or decline work that falls outside their scope of practice or jurisdiction.
3. Accuracy and transparency
Credentials, capabilities, availability and collaboration terms published on ImmLink must be accurate and kept current. Lapsed or withdrawn credentials must be updated without delay.
4. Confidentiality and client interests
Client information must be handled confidentially and shared only where lawful and necessary for the collaboration. Conflicts of interest must be identified and disclosed before a collaboration begins.
5. Respectful collaboration
Communication must be professional and respectful. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation and retaliation against members who raise concerns are not tolerated.
6. Integrity of reputation
Reputation must be earned. Fabricated collaborations, reciprocal review arrangements, duplicate accounts and any attempt to manipulate trust scoring are treated as serious breaches.
7. Reporting and enforcement
Suspected misconduct can be reported to ImmLink and, where appropriate, to the relevant regulator. ImmLink may remove verification levels, restrict access, or remove a member from the network.
Verification confirms identity and credentials. It does not guarantee future behaviour.
